Our veterinary hospital is equipped with an ultrasound as well as a digital X-ray machine. Our vets generally use this equipment for diagnostic purposes.
Digital radiography produces digital X-rays, or images of an animal’s bones or foreign bodies that the animal may have ingested. It can also be used to obtain still images of the soft tissue in the abdomen and ribcage.
Ultrasound produces moving images of soft tissue in various parts of the body, making it possible to see how the organs are functioning. For example, it can be used to view an animal’s heartbeat, lung function, puppies or kittens in the womb, and so on.
Dental X-rays are available at our hospital and are included as part of our full dental cleaning service. For example, they can be used to determine whether any teeth need to be extracted. To learn more, visit our Dental Care page.
